  • Who Is Your Andover Hometown Hero? Who Is Your Andover Hometown Hero?

    The Andover Chamber of Commerce Events Committee created this award in 2015 to recognize people who is seeking nominations for the Hometown Heroes.

    The group is looking for people who:

    • Demonstrates a keen sense of "community" for Andover
    • Inspires greatness for the Andover community and its citizens
    • Exercises leadership in all situations for the betterment of the Andover community
    • Demonstrates exceptional acts of courage


    The Hometown Hero Award will be presented at halftime during the Andover Central and Andover High Football game.

    There are so many people who do wonderful things for our community and the Chamber wants to
    recognize one of them.

    If you know of someone who demonstrates one or more of the qualities listed above, please fill out the form to give everyone nominated the same opportunity. No other form of nomination will be accepted.

  • Andover Hometown Hero Award Recipients Andover Hometown Hero Award Recipients

    The Andover Hometown Hero Award recipients for 2016 are Clara Wade and McKenzie Ast, two Andover residents working at Terradyne in 2015 who saved a young boy from drowning. Clara is a junior at ACHS and McKenzie is working on a degree in Texas.

    The 2015 Andover Hometown Hero recipient was Andy Saville, owner of Superior Landscape and works for the Andover Fire Department. Andy was unable to attend the presentation and Fire Chief Chad Russell accepted the award on his behalf.
