Public Transportation Services

The Butler County Department on Aging serves all citizens 60 and over in Butler County, Kansas. Our primary focus is to offer information and assistance to our seniors and their loved ones.  We receive funding from the Butler County Mill Levy, as well as grant funding from the Kansas Department of Transportation, the Kansas Department on Aging, Central Plains Area Agency on Aging, the Corporation for National Service, and the United Way. We provide a variety of services including Information and Assistance, In-Home Services and Referrals, Respite Care Scholarships, Caregiver Information and Assistance, Physical Fitness Programs, Volunteer Opportunities through our RSVP Program, Medicare and Medicaid assistance, Freezer Meals, Shopping for Seniors, Food and Housing Resource lists, Cell Phones for Seniors, and Transportation.  Our Transportation program is general public transportation, meaning anyone can access it, not just seniors.  Transportation is available daily in the cities of Andover, Augusta, and El Dorado.  Please call the Department on Aging at 316-775-0500 or 1-800-279-3655 for more information on any of these services.
