  • The Andover Area Chamber of Commerce AMBASSADORS are enthusiastic volunteers from member businesses who represent and promote the business of the Andover Area Chamber of Commerce as well as representing their own company or organization.

    These volunteers devote their time to help build member commitment and raise the business community awareness on the mission of the Chamber. Ambassadors are the vital, public relations arm of the Chamber and are committed to the success of the Andover area business community.

  • Requirements to be an Ambassador Requirements to be an Ambassador

    1. Must be a business owner, manager or employee of a member business in good standing
    2. Must have employers approval to participate as an Ambassador and they are aware of the time commitment
    3. Must make the commitment to serve on the Ambassador Committee for one full year
    4. Hours of participation will vary based on the number of events 
    5. Must agree to accept and follow the Andover Area Chamber of Commerce mission, Code of Ethics and confidentiality policies

    Those who volunteer on the Ambassador Committee find their experience rewarding by growing professionally and personally through building relationships within the business community. Becoming an Ambassador is one of the first steps you can take to become more involved in the Chamber and the Andover community.

    As an Ambassador, you will receive:

    1. Greater visibility for you, personally and your business, professionally
    2. Opportunities to interact and make connections with new and existing business
    3. Greater opportunity for direct input to the Andover Area Chamber of Commerce
    4. Exclusive opportunities and priority invitations to community activities and events
    5. Leadership and volunteer opportunities within the Chamber and the Andover community
  • Responsibilities of an Ambassador Responsibilities of an Ambassador

    1. Attendance at regularly scheduled monthly committee meetings
    2. Assist with registration at Chamber events and educational meetings
    3. Attendance at ribbon cuttings and grand openings for Chamber members
    4. Serve as a mentor for new Chamber members and checking in with existing members as they renew or just to touch base
    5. Assist in pickup and delivery of items to businesses as needed (silent auction items, etc.)
    6. Serve as a Welcoming Committee at events and with new members
    7. Refer potential Ambassadors to the President
    8. Promote and spread the word about events, benefits and other pertinent items that members should know about  - SOCIAL MEDIA “Like” Chamber’s facebook page – share and like items that are posted by President – Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram
    9. Provide a written report each month to the Board of Directors via the President on progress of the committee
